Reinterpreting embodiment through lectures and workshops in Tokyo and Kyoto
【 greeting 】
This time, we will be inviting three Capoeira Angora masters from the Inzinga group from Salvador, Brazil, to hold a workshop and lecture event in Tokyo and Kyoto. This event will be open to everyone, regardless of their prior experience in Capoeira, and aims to transcend the barriers of group and style, fostering a rich understanding. Janja, Paulinha, and Porocca, three masters who have studied Capoeira Angora in Salvador for over 30 years and continue to work as masters there, will be visiting Japan for the first time, and we look forward to your participation. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the many people, including those from the Kanto and Kansai regions, who provided support in making this event a reality.

[About Group Inzinga (Inzinga)]
Officially known as Grupo Nzinga de Capoeira Angola (Capoeira Angola Group Inzinga), the group was founded in 1995 by three masters, Janja, Paulinha, and Porocca, as a group dedicated to preserving and passing on the culture of Capoeira Angola. Since then, they have focused on educating young people in the local community, campaigning to eradicate racism and sexism in society, and promoting women's rights. They trace the origins of Capoeira to Africa and are engaged in research and understanding to deepen their knowledge of Afro-Brazilian culture.
